Cancellation & Refund Policy
How you can cancel your ClassGini subscription, and when refunds apply.

1. Cancelling your subscription
You can cancel at any time. Two ways:
- Self-serve — Go to Settings → Billing → Cancel Subscription in the school admin dashboard. Cancellation is effective at the end of your current billing period; you retain full access until then.
- Email — Write to billing@classgini.com from the school admin's verified email. Include your school name + last invoice number. We will confirm within 1 business day.
After cancellation takes effect, you will have 30 days to export your data before it is queued for deletion under our Data Deletion Policy.
2. Refunds
2.1 Monthly subscriptions
Monthly fees are non-refundable. When you cancel, your subscription continues until the end of the paid period and is not renewed thereafter.
2.2 Annual subscriptions
For annual plans, we offer a pro-rated refund of unused months minus a 15% administrative fee, only if:
- The cancellation is initiated within the first 6 months of the annual term, AND
- The cancellation is due to a material defect or service-level failure attributable to ClassGini, AND
- You have given us a reasonable opportunity to remedy the issue.
Cancellations after 6 months of an annual term are non-refundable but the service remains active until the end of the term.
2.3 First 14 days — money-back guarantee
If you are a new customer and cancel within 14 days of your first paid subscription, we will issue a full refund (excluding any third-party charges such as SMS credits already consumed). This guarantee applies once per organization.
2.4 Add-ons & consumables
Add-on purchases (e.g. extra storage, AI credits, SMS top-ups) are non-refundable once the units have been allocated to your account, even if not fully consumed. Unused units remain available until your subscription ends.
2.5 What we don't refund
- Setup fees, onboarding services, custom development, training hours that have been delivered.
- Payment-gateway fees and currency-conversion losses.
- Charges for SMS / WhatsApp / email messages already sent.
- Subscriptions cancelled due to violation of our Terms of Service.
3. How refunds are processed
- Approved refunds are credited to the original payment method used for the purchase.
- Refunds typically appear within 5–10 business days, subject to your bank's processing time.
- For Razorpay subscriptions, the refund will reflect on the same card / UPI / netbanking source.
- You will receive an email confirmation when the refund is initiated.
4. Disputed charges
If you believe you've been charged in error, please contact us at billing@classgini.com within 30 days of the charge so we can investigate. Filing a chargeback with your bank before contacting us may result in account suspension while the dispute is resolved.
5. Switching plans
- Upgrades take effect immediately. We charge the pro-rated difference on the next invoice.
- Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing period. No refund is issued for the unused capacity of the higher tier.
6. Free trials
New customers may be offered a free trial of up to 14 days. Trials end automatically; no charge is incurred unless you explicitly subscribe. Once you subscribe, the 14-day money-back guarantee (section 2.3) begins.

Refund processing times and pro-rated calculations are subject to your bank's policies and applicable tax regulations. This policy does not affect any statutory rights you may have under your local consumer protection laws.
